Silverstring

Background

Based in Bloxham, Oxfordshire, Silverstring are a specialist provider of data protection and data management solutions. For the last 16 years, the company have used their deep expertise to help organisations protect their data and solve challenges across security, availability and preservation. Predatar is a smart, lightweight and easy-to-use solution that enables the management of IBM Spectrum Protect and IBM Spectrum Protect Plus solutions as an automated data protection platform for customisable cloud and hybrid cloud services.

 

Problem

Silverstring had used a number of different software applications over the years, including Sage and Connectwise. None of these applications were integrated and led to large amounts of data duplication in the various systems. This was a primary reason for implementing a new, fully integrated solution. This disconnect and duplication in data also posed a challenge for Silverstring as it was becoming more difficult to produce good management information in a timely manner.

 

Silverstring found their current software applications lack of scalability and efficiency leading to potential future problems in the business. One key future objective for the business throughout development was the ability to easily scale their back-office function. Their current software applications would not be capable of delivering this in the long term. As a result, this was the ideal time to move to a new solution.

 

 

Solution

NetSuite was recommended to Silverstring  as a relevant solution. After seeing the training, implementation, data migration, support, upgrade and cost benefits, they chose Cofficient as their implementation partner. Silverstring did consider other system alternatives, such as Microsoft Dynamics, however their more complex and costly implementation and use of third-party applications  were seen as  too complex and risky for the business.

“The key was the fully integrated solution that Netsuite delivered. We deployed with very few modifications. The implementation was relatively straightforward and barring a few shortcomings specific to our needs the software delivers 95% + of our requirements. The total cost of implementation was reasonable, and we were able, with excellent support, to do a lot of the implementation ourselves, such is the ease of use of Netsuite.”

 

Results

Overall, they were very pleased with the excellent support they received from Cofficient and how much the system has enhanced  all activity.
